About Big Brain Games - Get Smarter!

Test your cognitive abilities with these wide collection of games, and record your scores so you can compare with friends to see who truly has a big brain!

• CHIMP TEST: Are you, a human, smarter and better than a chimp at remembering number orderings?
• TYPING SPEED GAME: How many words per minute can you type?
• AIM TRAINER GAME: How quickly can you aim and tap on 30 targets?
• REACTION TIME TEST: How fast can you react to a color change?
• SEQUENCE MEMORY GAME: How long of a sequence of button presses can you remember?
• NUMBER MEMORY TEST: How long of a number can you remember?
• VERBAL MEMORY GAME: How many words can you remember?

These "big brain games" are just merely a fun cognitive benchmark and are not indicative of actual intelligence. The point is to have fun and work on improving yourself!

Inspired by the Human Benchmark tests, but designed specifically with mobile phone screens in mind. The only one I was unable to port was the Visual Memory Test as the higher levels require a level of precision that isn't enjoyable on phones.

Fun Facts:
- The chimp test is based on a real world study where scientists trained a group of chimps to press the buttons in order by rewarding them with treats. The chimps consistently outperformed humans and were able to accurately remember the 9 numbers over 90% of the time with significantly more speed!
- Accurately measuring someone's reaction speed is surprisingly difficult as it's heavily dependent on the hardware used and even the colors used affect our speed. If you want the most accurate reaction time measurement, try on a wired mouse and computer!
- The average human can only remember 7 numbers at a time, but there are dozens of mnemonic techniques that can improve this drastically.
- The brain is the only unfinished organ at birth, and all evidence indicates that brain size is uncorrelated with intelligence. A big brain isn't inherently smarter nor is a small brain any less smart!
- The average typing speed on mobile phones is 38 words per second, which is lower than average typing speed of 40 words per second on computers.
