Fun, difficult game with lots of issues!
This game is kind of fun to play like the other gnomes garden games, but there are multiple issues: One—Dialogue is absolute gibberish in English! Someone who is a native English speaker needs to edit every single line! And there is way too much dialogue before every level! I just hit the “x” to skip it all because it didn’t even make sense! This isn’t just grammar or spelling; it’s just complete head-scratching nonsense! Two—You are unable to replay any level in the last world of regular play or the bonus levels. You can tap away but that queen won’t move! This means if you miss an artifact, you won’t ever get it if you finish that level completely. Three—The play is pretty convoluted. I had to play on easy mode, because there was just no way to figure out what you needed to open all those boxes, chests, trees, and other stuff in any quick way. And if you mess up on where to use the bars of steel, you may have to just replay the level. I’ve played a lot of time management games and never seen one quite this difficult. Four—Some of the items you need to use are very, very tiny and difficult to see, which is a major factor in the level of difficulty and not in a good way! Some of them are so small as to be virtually invisible! No one older or with any sort of vision difficulties could even begin to play this game on an iPad! Five—Those artifacts are just too hard to find in that short time period. I just went out on the internet for a guide and still had trouble seeing them sometimes! The timer on them just needs to be eliminated, so you have the whole level to find them! And then they need to either be colored more conspicuously or not placed on top of other items or both preferably. Six—The guide is virtually useless! It doesn’t tell you where to find the objects you need to open or repair the chest/hive/etc, so it really is not all that helpful. It is the single most basic guide I have ever seen and just needs way more details! But in spite of all of that, I still played through the whole thing! I even got to enjoy the difficulty of it, and it gets a little easier once you start to remember what item it takes in order to open each chest or box. It just would be a lot nicer to play if these issues were fixed! It’s just not up to the standards of other good time management games, including their previous games in this series. But it’s nice to play a game with one fixed price and no in-app purchases or ads!
