About MyHolston
At Holston Electric Cooperative (HEC), our mission is to provide safe, dependable electric service to our member-owners at a reasonable cost. Our value is service. Formed in 1940, Holston Electric Cooperative is member-owned distributor of Tennessee Valley Authority power, providing service in Hawkins and Hamblen counties in rural upper East Tennessee. Our vision is to deliver a level of electric service that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.
Our business goals are:
• To supply our members with economical, reliable service.
• To promote and inform our members of the benefits of cooperative electric service and of the safe and efficient uses of electricity.
• To develop our employees’ professional skills and increase job satisfaction through training and education.
• To recognize employees’ unique talents, personalities and contributions to our quality service efforts.
• To protect and preserve our natural environment.
• To foster the continued residential, commercial, and industrial growth of our region.
Holston Electric Cooperative provides electric service to more than 30,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers, has a 525 square-mile service area, and operates a distribution system of more than 2,600 miles with 12 substations in operation. The headquarters building is located in Rogersville and branch offices are located in Church Hill and Russellville.
Just like Holston Electric Cooperative (HEC), HolstonConnect is not-for-profit and a wholly-owned subsidiary of HEC that was formed in 2017 to provide advanced communication solutions like high-speed internet, telephone and television programming through a broadband fiber network to members in Hawkins and Hamblen counties.
Mission: To provide dependable, fast, quality high-speed internet, television programming and telephone services to our members at a reasonable cost.
Vision: To deliver a level of fiber-based services that meets or exceeds our members’ expectations.
