MiDNI

Policía Nacional makes a free mobile application available to you; this app supplements your Spanish National Identity Card. You can be identified with this in person and can be used as a physical document.

This is the only official and legally supported app

The app includes a verifier to check the authenticity of the MiDNI credentials of citizens.

You must complete the Registration process before using this app, by linking your mobile phone line to your identity. You can do so using the certificates of your electronic DNI through the website https://www.midni.gob.es, at the document updating points located in police stations and other premises or when renewing your DNI at the Policía Nacional Document Units.

This app cannot be used to prove your identity without a data connection, to produce it as a travel document at border crossings, or to prove identity in other countries. It will also be unavailable for carrying out online authentication transactions or electronic signature procedures.

This app requests identity data whenever it is used as these are not store on the device. Neither verification nor geolocation on data is recorded.

The mobile application requires access permission to the device's camera to read the QR code, in order to verify the credentials of other users.
