At just 14 years old in 1985, DJ Michael Watts produced and sold his inaugural mixtape. He initially focused on standard mixes before innovating his signature style known as “slowed and chopped,” referred to as “Swisha Mixes.” This concept was inspired by his childhood home, which he affectionately labeled the “Swishahouse.” Through his efforts, he has launched the careers of notable artists including Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, and Mike Jones.
