Very fun, even if you don’t know Doraemon

I recognize the character Doraemon from sight, and that’s about it. That didn’t hinder my enjoyment of this game, being a huge Kairosoft nerd, although if you’re familiar with the series, or apparently any of the other worlds the author created, you’ll probably have an even better time. Without that knowledge however, there’s still plenty of fun to be had. You make a variety of Japanese sweets (not just dorayaki), arrange your layout to best suit your various customers, and try to rank up. It’s a familiar Kairosoft formula, a bit of the “layout” style Kairosoft gameplay mixed with the “restaurant” style but it’s very polished and simplified here. You don’t have thirty-odd punningly named employees to manage, you just have the main character and his friends. The customers are Fujiko Fujio multiverse characters, which is cute, but again the significance is somewhat lost on me. It’s still fun, don’t get me wrong, but I do miss the old Kairosoft characters. As Kairosoft games go, it’s fun, but nothing groundbreaking. You’ll get the most out of it if you’re a Doraemon fan, but even if you’re not, hardcore Kairosoft fans like me will still enjoy it.
