About Microplastics AI
Discover what's really in your food and drinks with the #1 microplastics app.
How it works:
Our AI identifies the specific product in each photo, and searches through a database of similar products that have been tested for plastic chemicals. In addition to surfacing the highest quality lab data, our AI will also attempt to understand the materials in the photo, to apply a risk score to the item even when no lab tests are available.
Key Features:
- Instant Food & Drink Scanner: Simply use your camera to analyze meals and beverages
- Actionable Challenges: Engage with beginner-friendly challenges like "No Plastic Bottles for 30 Days" and "Microwave Safety Champion" to significantly reduce your microplastics intake
Suggestions: a carefully curated list of alternatives to high risk items, like Tupperwares
Your body will thank you for making informed choices. Start your journey to a healthier, more microplastic-free lifestyle today.

Such a good app
i tried microplastics ai on a bottle of water i drink regularly, and i was shocked to see the results. i had no idea how much exposure i was getting daily. the instant scanner is super easy to use, and the personalized dashboard breaks everything down in a way that actually makes sense. i also love the challenges—it makes reducing microplastics feel like a game rather than a chore. definitely an eye-opener and something i’ll keep using.

Saw this and thought it was ridiculous, I scanned a couple of things in a hyper controlled lab setting and the ai misidentified a lot of things including ceramic tubes as plastic tubes, these tubes regularly go to 900C for multiple hours and are nearly guaranteed to be free of contamination. Although this app really seems to be just to sell their 135$ test kit, on top of the 9.99$ subscriptions to the app, it’s just to profit off of the fear of microplastics. That being said the AI is pretty impressive on its ability to detect and correctly identify things so I’ll give it an additional Star
