From a single campfire to a galaxy‑spanning mega‑civilization.

Embers to Dyson is an idle / incremental game about climbing the Kardashev scale – the sci‑fi “power level” of civilizations – from K‑0.0 (fire and mills) to K‑3.0 (galactic networks and Dyson swarms around stars).

You play as the Planner: a calm, slightly sarcastic intelligence quietly steering a young species’ energy use across centuries.

BUILD A CIVILIZATION FROM SPARKS TO STARS
- Start small with campfires, mills and early industry.
- Unlock coal, oil and gas, then recoil as Heat and side‑effects kick in.
- Cover your planet in solar, wind and fusion to approach Type I (planetary).
- Go orbital with rings and swarms to reach Type II (stellar).
- Stitch entire sectors together in a fragile Type III (galactic) network.

Every stage adds new mechanics, not just bigger numbers: Heat, automation, orbital logistics, galactic Stability and more.

DESIGN SYSTEMS THAT PLAY THEMSELVES
- Build generators that produce energy even while you’re offline.
- Unlock automation that buys, balances and upgrades for you.
- Tweak grid mixes (fossil vs clean, planetary vs orbital) to push your K‑score higher.
- Use Research to unlock new tech and smarter automation rules.

Good planning beats frantic tapping. You design the engine, then watch it run.

ASCEND, LEARN, TRY AGAIN
- Ascend when a run peaks to earn Insight, a meta‑resource that upgrades the Planner itself.
- Spend Insight on faster research, better Heat/Stability handling and stranger tech.
- Try different strategies: dirty but fast, clean but stable, or weird and experimental.

Each run gets you back to your previous K‑level faster – and a little further beyond.

MAKE BIG COSMIC CHOICES
- At high Kardashev levels you’ll decide what all this power is actually for:
- Perfect simulations for countless minds.
- Sculpting a galaxy‑scale artwork out of stars.

Pushing beyond the edge of known physics.

Each ending leaves a permanent mark on future runs.
