About Prayer Rope

Praying with prayer ropes is one of the oldest ways of saying prayers, and is still used today by both monks and laymen in the Eastern Orthodox Church. This practice inspired us to create Prayer Rope for iOS.

The app's interface is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible while still being functional. To count the prayers as they are said, simply swipe a finger across the screen or tap the beads. Both visual and tactile feedback are provided. The app will highlight the next "bead", show the current prayer count, and optionally, vibrate the device.

• Select from a variety of prayers, in English, Greek, and Russian
• Choose the virtual length of your prayer rope
• Track your prayer count

Vibration

I love the app. After the last update, the vibration is week after each count making it hard to know if I tapped the phone or not. Is there a way to add a setting that allows the user to adjust the vibration after each count?

Unexpected

I suffer from intermittent, temporary paralysis. This evening I found myself unable to stand—but it was time for Vespers. My prayer rope was nowhere near me. Fortunately I was able to count the service through the Prayer Rope app. Glory be to God
