About CT Legacy Version

IMPORTANT: This is the classic, legacy version of CellarTracker. For the best experience, we recommend installing the new version of the app, “CellarTracker: #1 Wine Tracker”. The classic version of the app will not be receiving new feature updates.

CellarTracker is the world's largest collection of wine reviews, tasting notes and personal stories from people who love wine — now available for iPhone and iPad!

• Read & Write Wine Reviews •
Find over 4.4 million wines, read more than 12 million tasting notes (community and professional) for great recommendations, and join a community of over 888,000 users to share your opinions. Fully integrated with professional reviews from Antonio Galloni, Stephen Tanzer, Allen Meadows, Jancis Robinson, Decanter and more (separate subscriptions may be required).

• Manage Your Collection •
Use our online cellar management tool to track your collection, see its value, and much more. Users are currently managing 168 million bottles and counting!

• Label Recognition •
Search for a wine by taking a photo of the label, or quickly capture photos and notes of multiple wines for later reference. Access your entire history of captured labels to remember what you've been drinking.

• Scan Barcodes •
Easily scan UPC/EAN barcodes on wines, as well as custom CellarTracker barcodes, to make cellar management a breeze.

• Track Consumption History •
CellarTracker allows you to track what you've been drinking — from your cellar, a restaurant, winery or anywhere — and add your own tasting notes, ratings and label images.

This app requires internet connectivity to operate. Certain functionality, such as managing your cellar or tracking consumption history, require a free CellarTracker account. Optional paid CellarTracker accounts provide access to additional functionality, including automatic valuation. Some professional reviews require separate subscriptions to those publications to enable integration.

Does many things better than the new app

I’ve been using CellarTracker for over 10 years, long before there was an app. Is this app great? Not at all, the website does many things way better, especially when managing multiple bottles. But this is nice for finding a specific bottle to open, and for removing it from your cellar. I write this review to contrast it with the new app. That one is far less focused on your cellar and more on wine in general. (I’m expecting that they’ll be selling ad space to wineries soon.) It’s less of a “cellar tracker” and more of a “cellar filler” and wine guide. While I don’t expect this app to be further developed, I’m hoping they incorporate this feedback into the direction of the new app. Or at least keep this one functional.

Much better than the “new” version

This does what one wants, the new one is garbage, tries to be social media not a serious wine program

Please maintain Legacy

As soon as I saw the updated Legacy tag on the Icon I thought, “its only a matter of time before they stop supporting this app.” Please keep this app available. I agree with many of the other comments that the UI of the new app is just plain awful.

Older but better

A much more intuitive version that does what you actually want. The new search features such while using this older version makes it easier to see what you actually have in stock instead of giving you options to choose that you don’t even own

New app has poor UI

The new version is downright painful to use. Luckily, the old version is still functional and saves the day. If they turn the old version off, my 500+ bottle cellar will go back to existing in Excel.
