ezTransit Chicago offers offline trip planning in the public transport system of Chicago CTA.
Just pick your departure and destination point and get a list of suggested routes including all the transfers and scheduled departure/arrival times sorted by the time of departure. You can then view detailed information of the routes, display them on the map etc.

In app purchases required to use it
When I opened this app for the first time, I was prompted to download a timetable. I also got a message that I have a free 1 month subscription and after that I need to pay (maybe $3.99, don’t remember) to get updates to keep the timetable up to date. I was really taken aback by that.
