Ever wake up in the middle of the night and wish you could tell what the time was without having to open your eyes? Or want to be told the time without looking at a clock? Sono helps with exactly that.
* Please note: Sono will only play sound while it is running in the foreground (see below!) *
While You're Sleeping:
Sono lets you schedule a variety of background sounds to play at different hours, enabling you to recognize the time of night by the sound - whilst also helping block out disturbing environmental noise as you sleep.
Let's say you schedule Sono to play white noise between 05:00 and 06:00. If you slightly wake up and hear white noise, you'll automatically know that's what time of night it is. You can choose from a variety of sounds and schedule them for any hours you like. You'll always be able to tell approximately what time it is from the sound that's playing without needing to fully wake up.
And on the occasions you need to know the exact time, simply place two or more fingers anywhere on the screen and Sono will speak it to you. You may even find this is less disturbing than opening your eyes to look at a clock.
Any alarms you have set on your device will continue to work just fine while you're using Sono.
While You're Awake:
Sono can also be used as a speaking clock, regularly informing you of the current time and freeing you from the distraction or inconvenience of needing to look at a clock.
Note: because Sono can start playing sound at any hour (and possibly when you don't want it to) it’s been designed to work when running in the foreground only. Sound will stop playing if you lock your device or switch to another app.
