About BronControl
All the basic functions of broncolor’s Siros, Siros L, LED F160 and most functions of Scoro can be operated using the free bronControl app.
By using the Private mode or the Enterprise mode, equipment that is difficult to access, or far away, can be conveniently and easily set and controlled.
In Private mode, the Siros S, Siros L, Scoro and LED F160 can actually set up their own network. In that configuration, the LEDF160 accepts a maximum of four clients. The application controls the functions with clarity and full individual control, e.g. several units can be united into groups, and flash sequences synchronised.
In order to reduce the already short charging and waiting times even further, several devices can be alternately triggered.
The FreeMask function makes it possible to establish perfect masks for cropping motifs in a simple and fast way.
To operate the upgraded version of the bronControl App, the newest Firmware version is required:
- Siros 400 / 800: 11
- Siros 400 S / 800 S: 11
- Siros 400 L / 800 L: 6
- LEDF160 : LD 1.5 / UI 1.5
- Scoro : 13
Upgrade software can be downloaded from the broncolor website:

Knot 4 Me
Nearly useless
In both the iOS and Mac versions, if the Sirios S units are powered up or turned off the application does scan often enough to know what is on or off. No ability in the software to manually tell it to rescan for light heads. The Mac version throws the unrecognized developer warning. The broncolor RFS triggers are more useful, but you need to use too few buttons to control so many settings with frustrating repeated tap and holds. Uuhhgg!

Disconnect all the time. Bad UI
When moving into landscape mode, the app has right part of screen empty , while you need to scroll up down and left right, on the menu items on the left side. Freemask/alternate seems only have one role for each strobe, and cannot do 1&2,1,2, and repeat that sequence. Getting things I want with this app requires many clicks which makes go to each light to adjust on the light themselves more intuitive and efficient. Sony and Broncolor won the worst ui design of the century
