The Audio Signage App from Barix.
This app is for use where at least one live Audio Signage stream is provided on the Wifi Network.
Audio Signage streams are low-latency and typically carry the audio for video screens in bars, fitness clubs and lounges, or secondary audio channels like the referee feed in Sports Venues.
Look for the Audio Signage sticker at the door of the venue !
To test how it works, simply use the free "ffmpeg" tool on a PC installed on the network to send a stream as follows:
ffmpeg -re -i filename.mp3 -ac 1 -ar 24000 -acodec pcm_mulaw -f rtp rtp://224.9.9.99:4444
Just substitute a valid name for “filename.mp3”. To send a continuous stream, use a Barix Instreamer (www.barix.com)
ffmpeg can be downloaded from https://www.ffmpeg.org/download.html
If you want to provide your own Audio Signage stream, contact Barix to find out more.
