About BirdsEye Galápagos
BirdsEye Galapagos lets you:
-- see photos, sounds and text for all the birds of the Galapagos Islands
-- find recent sightings and bar charts of seasonal abundance for all birds
-- a quick link to the Galapagos National Park and Charles Darwin Foundation websites to help you quickly find the information you need for your visit
The Galapagos National Park Directorate and the Charles Darwin Foundation have recently implemented a monitoring program to assess the status of Galapagos land birds. For this program to be successful we depend on the help of natural historians and the community at large to track and record birds through the observations submitted to eBird. Thanks for your support!

MORE ON BIRDSEYE:
BirdsEye uses your device's GPS to display all recent sightings near your current spot out to any distance you select from 1 to 250 miles (or km).
Looking for a specific bird? Search for birds by name (or code) to find out where it has been seen recently, and show you the exact location on a map.
If you use eBird, you can import your eBird year or life lists for the whole world, the ABA area, a country, a single State/Province or even your county! You can also manually enter your life list or edit the list imported from eBird. Your lists are automatically backed up online.
BirdsEye is optimized for display on your iPhone and your iPod Touch, and also works as an iPhone app on iPad.

Basically useless
I wanted the app primarily to keep track of birds as I saw them. But most of the Galapagos has no cellular access and the app will not record bird sightings locally on my device, and instead requires an internet connection.
Falco columbarius
Now I want to visit!
Seeing all these cool birds makes me want to take a trip to the Galapagos.
