With Allah’s blessings and support of our community, a long-time dream has become a reality. In 2001 a few dedicated Muslims organized Salat al-Juma’h at the Lenexa Community Center, registered the Shawnee Mission Islamic Education Center (SMIEC), Inc. in 2010, and received IRS 501c3 status in 2011.

Traveling along the mountain trails, we can see that the amount of rubbish left behind by tourists, hikers or other people who make a private dump out of the forest is growing rapidly. We set a goal to eliminate the problem of rubbish in Polish forests once and for all.
