The WifiRttLocator app can estimate a smartphone’s position to an accuracy of 1-2 meters. It requires the use of a Wi-Fi Access Point infrastructure that supports the IEEE 802.11mc protocol. At present this is not very common, but we expect it will be in the future. Google WiFi already supports this
