Wine, which is all that fermented the mind, and every intoxicant was wine. Ibn Al-Arabi said: “Al-Khamr was named Khamr because it was left and then fermented, and its fermentation changes its smell; And it is said: It was called that because of its immaturity with the mind. And Al-Asmai narrated on the authority of Muammar bin Suleiman, he said: “I met a Bedouin, and I said: What is wrong with you? He said: wine. And wine: what is intoxicating from the mind, which is intoxicating from the drink, and it is wine, wine, and alcohol, such as Tamra, Tamra, and Dates. Islam has forbidden wine, for it has been proven by authentic sayings that when wine was forbidden in the Prophet’s city and it was forbidden after the Battle of Uhud in the third year of the Hijrah, there was nothing from grape juice, because the city did not have grape trees, but their wine was from dates, so when God forbade them they spilled it. By order of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Rather, they broke its containers and ripped its envelopes, and they used to call it wine, so it was known that the name of wine in the Book of God is general and is not specific to grape juice.
Al-Bukhari narrated in his Sahih on the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with him, that he said: “The prohibition of wine was revealed, and I was in Medina at that time having five drinks, not including grapes.” The hadiths on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, have been extensively stated that every intoxicant is khamr, and it is forbidden, as in the two Sahihs on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, who said: “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was asked about Bought, which is honey wine, and the people of Yemen used to drink it, so he said: “Every drink that intoxicates is forbidden ».». On the authority of Ibn Omar, on the authority of the Prophet, peace be upon him, he said: “Whatever intoxicates in large quantities is forbidden.”
