One of the values of Muslims in their dealings and in their morals among each other is the fulfillment of promises, as it increases the bonds of love and trust among them. As for breaking promises between Muslims, it is not permissible.
And God Almighty has guided us to fulfill promises, and God Almighty said: (And mention in the Book Ismael that he was true to the promise and he was a messenger, a prophet), so it is better that we follow them and imitate them in fulfilling promises, and the rule of fulfilling the covenant binding on its owner except for an excuse, otherwise He must compensate the promised person for the damage incurred or fulfill his promise.
