About Zucar
Zucar is an application developed by the National Center for Food and Nutrition that will help nutrition professionals during the nutritional consultation aimed at patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Zucar is a free tool that contains a calculator that estimates the nutritional status, energy needs of the person, energy distribution according to macro nutrients and establishes the number of exchange portions by food groups so that the professional nutritionist can elaborate a plan of feeding the patient.
It also has a support section of technical content referring to reference values of biochemical indicators, glycemic index, glycemic load and basic concepts on diabetes, the latter to be seen by the general population.
