"Forough al-Zaman Farrokhzad", which we know as "Forough Farrokhzad" or "Forough", was born on the eighth day of the first winter of 1313 in Tehran on Moizal Saltaneh Street, Alley of Khadem Azad in Amirieh neighborhood. His father was a military man from Tafreshi and his mother Kashani.
Forough's education began in Tehran, where she studied Secondary School at the Women's Sewing and Painting Conservatory.
In 1330, when he was sixteen years old, he married his cousin Parviz Shapour, a well-known satirist, and moved to Ahwaz. The result of this short-lived marriage, which lasted no more than two years, is a boy named Kamyar.
Forough wrote a letter to his wife before marrying Shapur and after her divorce. The letters were published in a book called "My First Romance in My Heart" by his son.
After his separation, Forough traveled to Europe and lived for some time. During this time he became familiar with European languages and knew Europe and Europeans better and more.
During this period, three of Foroge's first books were published, drawing him to the attention of literary circles.
Upon his return from the trip, he met writer and filmmaker Ibrahim Golestan and began film work.
The film "The House is Dark" was made by Forough in 1341 at the Baba Baghi Lepidary Sanatorium in Tabriz. That same year the film won a European award.
At the same time, the "Another Birth" series, which brought worldwide renown to Forough, was released.
A year later, Forough appeared in the theater directed by Perry Saberi and shone brightly.
Forough twice committed suicide. Once in adolescence and once in high tide, both were unsuccessful.
Finally, at four-and-a-half hours on the twenty-fourth day of the second winter of 1345, Jeep Ibrahim Golestan, who was driving the Forough, went off the road at Cours Road and killed Forough.
The body of Forough is buried in Zahir al-Dawlah cemetery in Shemiran north of Tehran.
Among the poets of modern Persian poetry, one might say that it is Farrokhzad who has raised the name of Persian poetry for the second time in the world. Unless Hafiz and Khayyam's poetry has attracted academics, scholars and philosophers, Forough has opened a big place in the hearts of young people.
