In accordance with the Spanish regulation RD 1110/2007 of August 24, it is mandatory, for electricity company meters, to store data on quality of supply and incidents that occurred at the point of measurement.
Smart meters and digital meters in the Spanish territory, responding to this rule, record a volume of not less than 100 records in recent months.
This information may be useful in any claim or litigation you may have with your electric distributor, especially in the process, among others, who want to claim damages caused to your electrical equipment due to a defective supply.
With this application you can access incident data such as power outages, voltage drops, overvoltages, threshold configuration parameters ... Both for the IEC 870-5-102 protocol and for the meters marked as PRIME.
The information obtained from the counter memory is downloaded to a file in csv format. With the acquisition of the application you will be provided with a basic manual for the interpretation of this information, it does NOT include any subsequent accompaniment in the processes that you can undertake as it is a knowhow of each company.
The information is obtained by connecting a probe to the optical port of the company counter, for this an IEC 62056-21 optical probe with:
- mircroUSB connector and FTDI chipset and mobile phone capable of operating OTG (On-The-Go) (see more technical information for compatibilities on the developer's website)
- optical probe with BLUETOOTH communication
The process is solely and exclusively of reading, the data stored in the meter are not altered or modified in any way.
