THE NAME
The name Camu Camu came from the idea of creating a brand with a clear Brazilian identity.
It's a name that translates what the brand really is: cheerful, strong, original, irreverent, playful and captivating.
Through research carried out with words related to these characteristics, we became aware of the existence of a Brazilian fruit called Camu Camu. This fruit is native to the flooded riverside regions of the Western Amazon River, it is a bushy plant and can reach four meters in height, very similar to the jabuticabeira. Its flowers are white and the fruits are dark red.
Camu Camu is the fruit that contains the highest concentration of vitamin C known on the planet, around twenty times more than acerola and a hundred times more than lemon. It also has, compared to oranges, ten times more iron and 50% more phosphorus.
