Chess is logic, but also memory. Up to 90% of chess is memory as openings, patterns and endgame positions are learned. In these chess problems you will have to think in a different way and what you have memorized will not do you much good. It will be about using logic. The only thing you need to know by heart is the movement of the pieces and the rules of the game.
The 25 problems come with their solutions in a separate section; and these solutions are fully explained.
No chess engine (Stockfish, Komodo, Fritz, etc.) can solve these problems. Likewise, they cannot create them.
To solve them you don't have to be a great chess player, nor does being one help. Knowing the rules of the game is enough.
My recommendation is that you never give up and only look at the solution to each problem when you are sure you have solved it.
