The present work presents a didactic sequence for the teaching and appropriation of the kinetic theory of elution. The main objective of the proposed activities is that the fourth-year students of the Industrial Chemistry and Biochemistry courses can explain and predict the general chromatographic behavior of chemical substances, in their kinetic foundations as general thermodynamics. Through the development of the activities, it is expected that the students of the Separation Methods and Experimental Analytical Biochemistry courses can promote scientific thinking competences in relation to the knowledge, abilities and dispositions regarding the phenomena to be addressed.
