About Thompson Score (HIE Grading)
The Thompson score is a neonatal score used in the assessment of the severity of perinatal asphyxia.
It is also known as HIE score and it is obtained by summing up the points from 9 items The final score is interpreted as follows:
0-10: HIE Mild severity
11-14: HIE Moderate severity
≥15: HIE Severe
