The digital object 2018 is an augmented reality application accompanying the anthology “The digital object - Between Depot and Internet” by the Deutsches Museum from the “Deutsches Museum Studies” series. The anthology can be downloaded free of charge from the Deutsches Museum website or directly from the app. The printed book is available from the Deutsches Museum shop.
With the help of augmented reality technology, the application offers various additional content to put the content of the anthology in context. Among other things, 3D models, videos, animations and other texts can be viewed. Here, a wide variety of approaches to digital expansion were deliberately chosen, with the aim of stimulating discussion and discussion about the medium of augmented reality.
