This Android application is an Explanation About the Purpose of Islamic Boarding School Rooms by Nurcholish Madjid. In PDF format.
It is a pleasure for us to be able to present this book before dear readers. Like our previous books, the publication of this book is also in response to the enthusiasm of the readers who have given a positive response to the books we have published. Hopefully this book will also be pleasing to the hearts of all readers.
Starting from our desire to publish Cak Nur's writings which are scattered everywhere, we classified the themes of these writings and then published them into several books. From this classification, there is a special theme about the condition and development of Islamic boarding schools in the 70s which is interesting to study, so we have the courage to publish it into a book that is now in front of you. The book, which we entitled The Chambers of Islamic Boarding Schools, discusses important points which are certainly worthy of being known by readers, especially those who are interested in the problems of the Islamic boarding school world.
Considering that Cak Nur's writings in this book were written about 20 years ago, of course there is a lot of new data and developments (about the world of Islamic boarding schools) that are not recorded in this book. Therefore, we complete it with an introduction from Azyumardi Azra and an appendix consisting of two writings. The first article was taken from Pak Malik Fadjar's paper in one of the Panel Discussions on Islamic boarding schools organized by the Student Affairs Institute and the Salman Mosque Trustees Foundation, ITB.
Meanwhile, the second article—originally consisting of three articles—was a report by the Kompas team (October 14, 1996), about a seminar commemorating the 70th anniversary of Pondok Modern Gontor Ponorogo.
Finally, we hope that this book can broaden our horizons of knowledge and become a stimulus for more weighty studies on Islamic boarding schools.
Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
Please give us reviews and input for the development of this application, give a 5 star rating to encourage us in developing other useful applications.
Happy reading.
