Malachi is a widely used book on the subject of tithing in churches, although the Book has only four chapters, unfortunately few have truly sought to understand its entire context. That is why there are so many misinterpretations and prejudices regarding the text of Malachi 3:8-10. When God said, "Yet you spoil me...in tithes and heave offerings" (Malachi 3:8), to whom was He directing these words? This question must be analyzed in all its historical context in the light of the Word of God.
