The discourse of "feminism" gains pros and cons. How do Islamic boarding schools take a stand in this matter?
There are two camps, two opinions:
Some pesantren reject the issue of "feminism", with one of the pretexts that feminism is a product of the West, which is heretical and contains many heresies or heresies.
On the other hand, there are also Islamic boarding schools that are positive in their view of feminism. This Islamic boarding school sees feminism as part of Islamic teachings that have emerged since the 6th century when the Prophet Muhammad tried to liberate Arab women from the bondage of cultural symbols and structural oppression.
This book attempts to explore the issue of feminism in Islamic boarding schools, which is still hotly debated to this day.
The presence of this book is expected to be able to contribute to the development of discourses and theories about Islamic boarding schools and feminism studies. This book can also be used as a reference by the government, academics and Islamic boarding school activist groups who wish to develop and find solutions to various problems both ideological and practical.
