ABOUT UNICAL – FES:
The Faculty of Environmental Sciences is one of the several faculties in UNICAL with a total of 6 departments namely:
1. Dept. of Architecture
2. Dept. of Environmental Resource Management
3. Dept. of Estate Management & Valuation
4. Dept. of Geography & Environmental Science
5. Dept. of Survey $ Geoinformatics
6. Dept. of Urban & Regional Planning
ABOUT THIS APP:
The 'UNICAL FES App', is an educational app that was developed for the students of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences (FES), University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria. The app is an all-in-one educational tool for every student of FES. It offers a broad range integrated educational resources for students, such as:
1. The Faculty’s website, which has integrated the 1st fully deployed e-Learning experience in any “brick and mortar” public university within Nigeria, thus making the Faculty of Environmental Sciences (FES) University of Calabar, the 1st faculty in a public university in Nigeria to introduce and fully integrate e-Learning into her academic curriculum.
2. Links to both the Under Graduate and Post Graduate website portals of the University of Calabar. This is a useful link because of the ease it provides to students to get up-to-date important information about their courses of study directly from the university directly from their app.
3. Also integrated in the app, is a chat application, where students, lecturers and other users can interact with each other in real time.
The UNICAL - FES App is a very user friendly platform, with simple and easy to navigate tools, which makes it adaptable for all classes of computer users. Students can now study with ease and move around with their entire academic work-load in their mobile devices as applicable all over the world.
