Ahmed Shafa (June 30, 1943 - July 26, 2001) was a Bangladeshi writer, novelist, poet, thinker and mass intellectual. Gavi Bittanta (1995), written in the context of teacher politics at Dhaka University, is one of the best satirical novels in Bengali literature.
