What is it?
The Work and Social Security Card (CTPS) is the document that records the professional life of the worker and guarantees access to the labor rights provided for by law. The work card will be issued as a priority in digital format and exceptionally in physical format.
What do I do with my old CTPS? Won't I need it anymore? Can I throw it away?
If you already had the CTPS in physical format, you must keep it. It remains a document to prove your previous work time. Even though the digital Employment Card can show old employment contracts (from the 1980s, for example), it is important in these cases to preserve the original document.
What changes is that, from now on, for all employment contracts (new or existing), all notes (vacation, salary, etc.) Internet.
