Amba Refugees otherwise known as Ambazonia Refugees is a financial assistance service to support refugees kick start a small trade or business to sustain their basic needs during the Ambazonia war of independence.
We envision a financially inclusive community and society where all people hold the power to improve their lives.
Hundred of thousands of our people in Ambazonia and in Nigeria are unbanked and can’t access the financial services they need. Ambazonia Refugees is an Ambazonian initiative and nonprofit charity, initiated by Dr. Isaac Zama in 2019 in collaboration with the Health and Social Services - HSS, with a mission to expand financial access to help underserved refugees, victims of the Southern Cameroon - Ambazonia conflict in any community to thrive.
We do this by crowdfunding loans and unlocking capital for the underserved, improving the quality and cost of financial services, and addressing the underlying barriers to financial access around the world. Through Ambazonia Refugees' work, students can pay for tuition, women can start businesses, farmers are able to invest in equipment and families can afford needed emergency care.
