You then press play to check how the scale sounds or play along with your instrument to check your pitch and help your music practice.

Exactly what I had in mind! it's also super simple to use! As an adult beginner cellist, my ideas: adding an option to zoom & scroll horizontally on a measure as it's playing & toggling finger number & note playing to appear above the note being played. it'll keep the simple look, while allowing additional features to be toggled for beginner aids. The last thing that be epic to see would be mic real time feedback with simple stop light colors. 🙂
