The Nature of the Pillars of Islam According to Sheikh Siti Jenar
1. Shahada (Sasahidan Ingsun Sejati)
During this time, shahada is generally only understood as an utter form
said "Asyhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa asyhadu anna Muhammad al-rasul
God". And because it is only pronunciation, it is natural not to have influence
nothing about human mentality. Anyone can say it anyway,
even though most don't understand it. Whereas the true meaning of that
syahadat is a "testimony" not a "pronunciation" sentence that states
that he has testified.
When we say the word "Allah", this word must be present and born
from deep conviction. At the time of pronunciation, we must be sure
that God "exists" in his prophet, and that each of us is capable
carry the role of the prophet. In ma'rifat, prophet and prophethood as
something that is always alive.
