From Hazrat-i Adam (pbuh) to our Prophet (pbuh), there were 124,000 prophets according to one narration and 224,000 prophets according to another narration. Although the names of Zilkarneyn, Lokman and Uzeyr are included in the Holy Quran, it is controversial whether they are prophets or not.
The first prophet Hz. The last prophet from Adam Hz. Many prophets came to Muhammad. There is no information in the Qur'an about the number of prophets sent. In one hadith, it is reported that the number of prophets is 124.000 and 315 of these prophets are composed of messengers (Ahmed b. Hanbal, Musned, V, 266). But in a verse, "And indeed, We have sent prophets before you. There are also those of whom we have told you their stories. There are also those who have not told you their stories ..." (al-Mu'min 40/78) "I believed all the prophets sent from the Prophet Adam to the Prophet Muhammad, and I accepted that they were all true and true."
