Saron musical instruments are found in the regions of Java and Bali. Saron or also called ricik is one part of gamelan instruments which belongs to the Balungan family. A set of gamelan usually consists of 4 sarons, and all of them have pelog and slendro versions. Saron sounds produce an octave higher than demung, and have a smaller physical size.
