Most of us are pretty good at trivia games, LIAR! Is what you must be good at because it’s more than a trivia game. It’s not really about how smart you are or how much knowledge you have, it’s about what you know and how fast you can detect what you know. Still confusing right? Let’s go into details.
LIAR! as the name implies, someone or something that lies. The game is all about spotting lies- false statements. It’s more like a true or false quiz but only false statements should be detected.
HERE’S HOW THE GAME GOES:
When the game starts, statements are printed to the screen in form of cards, and a forty-second timer is set. You are to observe each statement as quickly as possible and spot lies or false statements by tapping the LIAR! button; this would help increase (+) your timer and your score. False accusations (tapping the liar button to true statements) reduce your timer too, be careful. The game is endless so you have to try your best to get a high score and stay alive. With the aid of streaks and power-ups, staying alive would be more possible.
Normally when you get a false statement your score and the timer increases by 10, but when you accuse falsely your time reduces by 20.
N.B: Only general knowledge questions are asked, the questions are uncategorized and basic.
STREAKS AND POWER-UPS
Having an unbroken series of spotting lies that is getting it right consecutively is termed as a streak. Streaks help you activate power-ups. Power-ups alter your score, time, and many more features according to what they do.
-Doubler: It gives you x2 points when you spot lies.
-Double Or Trouble: It gives x2 points when you spot lies but reduces your time by 40 when you are wrong.
-Immunity: Your timer does not reduce when you miss.
-Power Play: Get x2 if correct and also when wrong!
-Streak Saver: Helps you save your streaks when you miss.
-Time Freeze: Holds the timer for 10 -15 seconds
-Vibro: This is bad luck! It distracts you by vibrating your device and flashing the screen.
GAME MODES
The game works only online. The online supports both single and multiplayer modes. The multiplayer mode is quite similar to the endless mode but here you compete with a random player playing the game at the same time. The same statements are printed at both your screen and at the other player’s screen till someone’s timer runs out then the scores are judged for the winner.
