Barnboard is a virtual sign-up sheet for booking lesson appointments for people and training days for horses. It moves the whiteboard in your barn aisle onto your phone providing an easy way to organize classes as well as book and manage appointments, venues, off-sites, and lesson horses. Barnboard connects your barn, trainers, and clients into a private network.
Barnboard is a different sort of phone app. Written by a lifelong active horse person and USPC graduate "A", it was created to save your time - not take it. There are no ads. There is no death scrolling. There is no army of underpaid gig workers. Your data belongs to you. Your activity will not be tracked and your Barnboard information stays on your phone, not in the cloud. Barnboard is designed to be private and secure and is solely supported by paid subscriptions.
Barnboard is a single app that supports three kinds of users:
A barn that owns the network.
Trainers associated with the barn.
Clients of the trainers.
Any number of any kind of user from multiple barns can co-exist on a single phone. You can also access a single user account from multiple phones.
Create a barn to organize and share your bookings schedule with your network of trainers and clients. Use your barn list entry to describe your facility and services and provide a link to your website. Select or create one or more training categories and a locale description that is appropriate for your barn. The barn approves all memberships and assigns a trainer to the client or horse.
Trainers and clients choose their barn from the Barnboard list. All you need to request a membership is your name. Sign up as a trainer to offer lessons and/or training. Trainers can set their lesson hours and availability. Sign up as a client to book lessons and/or training. Your bookings will be private. Once you become a member you can sign up your horse.
A month-long free trial begins when you create a barn or a barn accepts your sign-up request. Trainers and clients have unrestricted access during the free trial. Barns do not appear in the Barnboard list and are limited to face-to-face trainers and clients. This is for the convenience and protection of the barn's potential trainers and clients. When a subscription is purchased and the free trial ends the barn will appear in the Barnboard list and allow sign-up requests. At that time the barn can assign the new members to their free trial face-to-face counterparts.
When a subscription expires activity will be limited to read-only history and network panels. The history will continue to be updated as long as the barn doesn't expire and doesn't remove the expired now face-to-face member. When a barn expires all barn network activity ceases until the subscription is restarted. Full function will be restored when a subscription is restarted.
