How is the home automation and digital home calculator used?
The calculator is divided into several blocks (Intrusion alarm, Technical alarms, Presence simulation, Video intercom, Control of blinds, Control of lights and lighting, Climate control, air conditioning or heating, Settings, User interface, Connectable devices to companies suppliers through communication networks, Multimedia Network). Each of them has a series of subsections that define a functionality of the home. Each solution has its relative importance and the points of each of the sub-applications are calculated.
For the classification of the installations by means of domotization levels in a domotics house, it does not matter if you use an open domotics system such as KNX, X10, LonWorks, or some closed domotic system such as home automation Xiaomi, alexa, OK google ... It They take into account what he does, not how he does it.
Domotization level or home automation level is understood as the level assigned to a home automation installation as a result of the weighting of existing devices and covered home automation applications. Three levels have been defined based on the principle of reaching a level considered minimum (Level 1), a higher level considered intermediate (Level 2) and finally, the level considered excellent (Level 3).
Level 1. They are facilities with a minimum level of devices and / or home automation applications. The sum of the weighted weights of the devices included in the home automation installation must be at least 13, provided that it covers at least 3 home automation applications. That is, these 13 points must be achieved with devices distributed among at least 3 different applications that are distinguished by having different color in the table. It would not achieve the minimum level of domotization an installation that reaches a score of 13 but that only has air conditioning and shutter control devices installed; I would need to have devices installed in a third application such as the video intercom.
Level 2. They are installations with a medium level of devices and / or home automation applications. In this case the sum of points must be at least 30, provided that at least 3 applications are covered.
Level 3. They are facilities with a high level of devices and / or home automation applications. In this case the sum of points must be at least 45, provided that they are distributed in at least 6 applications.
With this calculator they will not be able to deceive you by telling you that they are going to sell you a home automation digital home.
