National Federation of the Deaf – Nepal (NDFN) presents Nepal's first deaf-friendly mobile app – Deaf Nepal. The mobile app is developed to provide accessible news and information to people with hearing disabilities in Nepali Sign Language. Many deaf people in Nepal often are deprived of their right to information because of the lack of resources in accessible formats like Sign Language. They are mostly unaware of the community's ongoing news and about their rights and services they can access. Thus to fill the gap of information, NDFN has developed this app to be a go-to solution for all deaf people of Nepal.
Following are the features of the Deaf Nepal app:
All content present in the form of Nepali Sign Language
News from the Deaf Community
Information about the Rights and Facilities available to Deaf People.
Nepali Sign Language Dictionary
Contact information of Deaf Organizations in all provinces.
Contact information of the Sign Language Interpreters
Library of Videos including Sign Language.
Information on Deaf history, issues, and programs
All the content (except videos and images) can be viewed offline.
