The Rapanui language (Vanaŋa Rapanui) is a language spoken on the Island of Rapa Nui, geographically belonging to Polynesia and administratively to Chile. Better known as Easter Island, it is famous for its megalithic sculptures called Moais. This mysterious little island in the middle of the Pacific is populated by a few thousand inhabitants with their own language. This language has its own structure but has been enriched with terms from European languages and especially from Tahiti, the result is a unique language that struggles not to disappear, due to the low number of native speakers and the profound impact tourism has on its Island. However, great efforts have been made by the islanders and the Government of Chile to preserve this language. This application is nothing more than a small grain of sand that adds to the effort being made to preserve and spread the language and culture of Rapa Nui, above all, to encourage new generations of islanders to maintain their traditions and culture. .
