Green Play is an alternative and innovative methodology that aims to promote the educational values of sport for all, both in team sports and individual, including children and youth.
To do so, the project is based on the methodology "Juga Verd Play" successfully implemented by the Consell Esportiu in the Baix Llobregat region.
This project is funded by the "Erasmus +" program.
The basic premise of the project is that if you want to educate values, get more points than the opponent can not be the only condition to win the game; also count values and good behavior.
In this sense, another unique feature of the project is the integration in the evaluation process of all target groups participating in the competitions (public, families, referees and coaches).
The Green Play methodology will be tested by Sporting in Portugal Foundation, the Finnish Sports Federation of the Tampere region in Finland, dalll'Associazione Amateur Sports S.S. Basketball Lazio in Italy and the Consell Esportiu the Lower Llobregat in Catalonia. The Institute for Social Research will monitor and assess the behavioral changes in the target groups.
Sport and Citizenship will oversee the identification of international best practices, draw up recommendations based on project activities and will organize the final conference in Barcelona.
