Spanish Surgery is the Official Body of the Spanish Association of Surgeons, a scientific society that encompasses the majority of Spanish general surgeons and different subspecialties of surgery. The magazine is the best exponent of the technical and conceptual development of Spanish surgery, so that in its pages, similar to the evolution that surgery has experienced in the world, increasing attention is devoted to the biological and clinical aspects of the surgical pathology, thus transcending the operative act that in the past constituted the main center of attention in this area of medicine. The contents of the journal are structured in the Originals, Revisions, Clinical Notes and Letters to the director sections, and the articles are selected and published after a rigorous analysis, following internationally accepted standards.
