About DIARIO DE MALLORCA

The current Diario de Mallorca is the fourth publication to have this heading. Earlier newspapers arose in 1808, 1874, and 1900.
The header was born in 1953 as a result of the merger between El Correo de Mallorca and La Almudaina.

Since November 1991, the newspaper has been published by Prensa Ibérica, which marked a historic change in the publication's trajectory and promoted an ambitious comprehensive modernization process. On July 25, 2003, the King and Queen, Mr. Juan Carlos and Mrs. Sofía, presided over the ceremony to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary and received the Diario de Mallorca Award.

In 1993 the Club Diario de Mallorca was born. In its more than 25 years of history, 4,000 speakers and 500,000 listeners have given life to this platform through which the main protagonists of Mallorcan politics, economy, society, science, culture and sport have passed.
