UPTET is a state-level exam conducted once a year that enables candidates to gain eligibility for Primary (Classes 1 to 5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6-8) level teachers in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) conducts the exam on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB).
