About Exercices Mecanique EPFL

The Exercises Mechanical EPFL wants to be the use of all-student e-th beginning his first course of Physics at EPFL, or elsewhere. The smartphone is being imposed everywhere, so this application has support anyone who wants to have access to the resources of classical mechanics to learn, to train, but especially to practice his memory in the field of physics. The process of memory is being lost with new technologies, undermining the calculation and the student e-reasoning abilities, which then builds fewer connections within the neural network. The idea is to use the smartphone to develop again the memory via iterative quizzes, and enhance cognitive abilities of the user-rice.

In version 1.5, four sections exist: a quiz imaged multiple choice, a text multiple choice quiz, a notebook problems with the ability to communicate, and a list of book proposals Treaty Physics: Mechanics, Prof. . Ansermet, Polytechnic and University Presses Romandes.

This app explores the major concepts of classical mechanics with the laws of Newton, the physics of the material point, that of the deformable solid mechanics and Lagrange.
Concepts such as the amount of movement, the angular momentum, the moment of force, the moment of inertia, the potential energy of the spring, and many others, are addressed.
Theorems center of mass and angular momentum are set to explore.
The physics in the relative reference (accelerated) is introduced, especially through the centripetal acceleration and Coriolis.
The mathematical tools for physics are also applied, in particular the vector projections, cylindrical and spherical pins, the cross product etc.
And many others !
Available in beta, the application will add content to the end of the year. On September 8, 2017, there are 89 questions. We will deploy between 200 and 300 by the end of 2017.
