Adalı Magazine started publication in 2003 with the decision of the Board of Directors of the Adalar Foundation. The owner of the magazine is the Islands Foundation.
The first issue of the journal was published in July 2003. It is a journal that continues to be published in a monthly period without interruption. The magazine not only became a communication organ, but also recorded all aspects of what happened in the Islands, and in a way created its archive.
Adalı was also affected by the developments in the periodical publishing sector, and Adalı continued its publication life as a printed magazine for a long time, and after 2014 it turned into a magazine published on the internet.

We are still on our way with the majority of the names on the first editorial board of the journal and the writers of Adalı. But there are two important names that we would like to commemorate with respect. One of them is our dear Brother Necmi, Necmi Tanyolaç, who should be remembered with respect not only for Adalı but also for the Islands Foundation. The other is our beloved Akgün Tekin, whom we lost at an early age.
Since its publication, the number of Adalı who has written in the magazine is over a hundred. New names are added every year. We make sure that all our authors and their articles are accessible through the site.
