Finished the game in about 7.5 hours. FF1 had the exit spell. Dragon Quest had repel to avoid random encounters. Basically you'll want to spend money on potions to let you stay in towers longer, you'll get the equips you need there. Flee from the Spookers. You want to fight the toughest enemies for smooth progression. At level 24 you get Poison Cloud which could have made the final boss a little easier. Walk speed could be a little faster, full text in battles would make them faster.
